As writers, we think that everything we write is brilliant. We go to sleep, read it in the morning and know that it's crap. How can you get an objective opinion? Not your mother's opinion, or your S.O. but someone who knows the business and understands what goes into making your idea a great book. We are here and want to help.

Who We Are

Kate Shaffar

Kate Shaffar has over 12 years of editorial experience. She works with both editors and New York City agents, taking good ideas to publishing gold.

More importantly, she is a writer of both short stories and novels. She knows how difficult the process can be, and has a wide breadth of experience utilizing strategies to help writers get out of their own way and make their literary dreams come true!

Dawn VanDercreek

Dawn VanDercreek has 18 years of print and web publishing experience. Dawn was Senior Managing Editor at Roxbury Publishing Company for 17 years, until its sale to Oxford University Press in 2007.

Dawn has provided editorial services to a number of clients in the Los Angeles area doing copy editing, proofreading, and fact checking.  Experienced with all aspects of publishing and editing, she can take your text and make it into a print ready product. Dawn has excellent organizational and communications skills, takes deadlines seriously and loves the craft of turning rough drafts into polished finished works.
